How it works

Grant access
Allow Screen Time access on iPhone, or Usage Access on Android. Doomrank uses it to read your total screen time for each day.

One number a day
After each day ends, Doomrank uploads one number: your total for that day. Never which apps you used. Only finished days are ranked. Today is just yours.

See your rank the next day
Your first finished day puts you on the boards: Friends, Global, Local (if we can tell your country) and, if you're 18 or older and add your birth year, your age group.
People see your rank, not your minutes.
That includes your friends.
- Other people see your rank, your username, your country flag and your avatar.
- Only you see your minutes and your charts.
- Doomrank never uploads which apps you used. Today's number stays on your phone.
- Your birth year is optional, and other people never see it.
- A profile photo stays on your phone. Everyone else sees a generated avatar.

Cool to Cooked, one degree at a time. Your tier comes from your average daily screen time over your last 7 days with data.

Every board ranks average daily screen time. Each one shows the top 100 and the people ranked around you.

Doomrank Pro
The Global, Local and Friends boards, adding friends and your own stats are free. Doomrank Pro is an optional paid upgrade that adds two things.
- Step back through earlier days, weeks, months and years.
- Rank inside your own age group (18+).
Doomrank Pro won't lower your screen time. We checked. It just lets you look back at the evidence.
Doomrank Pro may not be in every version of the app yet. Where it is, it's billed by Apple or Google, and the price is shown in the app before you buy.
Questions
Can my friends see my screen time?
No. People see your rank, not your minutes. That includes your friends.
Does Doomrank see which apps I use?
Doomrank never uploads which apps you used. One total for each finished day is all that leaves your phone.
When do I show up on the boards?
Usually the day after you grant access. Only finished days are ranked.
Is Doomrank free?
Yes. The Global, Local and Friends boards, adding friends and your own stats are free. Doomrank Pro is an optional paid upgrade, and it may not be in every version of the app yet.
